Paint map —

Turn a reference into paintable colour layers

Open a photograph — a Radha ji or Krishna ji portrait, a still life, anything. The picture is reduced to a handful of oil-paint shades, and each shade gets its own map showing exactly where it goes. Nothing leaves your device.

Manual corrections to the current map will be discarded.

How to paint with this

  1. Transfer the drawing. Switch to All layers · Outline, turn on the Grid, and rule the same squares on your canvas to place the big shapes.
  2. Mix shade 01. Open the Shade panel for the colour codes and the closest mixture from your own paints.
  3. Paint where it says. Tap a swatch — only that shade's areas are shown. Dots mode is useful for marking without covering.
  4. Work light to dark through the strip at the bottom.
  5. Check the match. The Layers panel measures how closely the shades reproduce the photograph, and groups them by colour family. If it is not close enough, raise the shade count and re-analyse.
  6. Blend. Slide towards Original to see the reference under the boundaries and soften transitions by eye.

Shortcuts
